Bah, hum-bear: Wildlife camera records Santa attack
Published in Weird News
GLENDORA, Calif. (UPI) -- A California photographer who set up cameras to record wildlife in the Angeles National Forest captured the moment a bear expressed its distaste for Santa.
Robert Martinez of Glendora said he set up 10 cameras to record wildlife in the forest. He put a stuffed Santa Claus doll in front of a camera in Big Dalton Canyon in the hopes of attracting a mountain lion.
However, Martinez said St. Nick instead caught the eye of a black bear, which gave the doll a sniff Monday before smacking it to the ground and toying with it for a few seconds.
Martinez said the bah-humbug bear was the first black bear his cameras have recorded in the area during the past two months.
