2 more arrested in death of Muslim cleric
The men, who names had not been released Friday, were arrested Thursday in London, the Lancashire Telegraph reported. Police said one was 19 and the other 25.
Abdullah Mohammed, 41, was killed in the Oct. 21 fire. His wife Ayesha died of burns a week later.
A daughter, Siddiquah, 14, was still hospitalized, but her younger brother, Muhammad, 9, was out of the hospital and being cared for by relatives. An older son is a university student and was not at home.
Two men were arrested in late October. Peter Bowden, 39, of Lytham St. Annes on the Lancashire coast, and Imran Ali, 29, of Manchester were still in custody, charged with murder and arson, the BBC said.
Police have not suggested a motive for the crime. Blackburn, 21 miles north-northwest of Manchester and once famous for its textile production, has one of the largest Muslim communities in Britain.
