Beefeaters facing bullying allegations
Tower of London authorities said Monday that two of the unidentified male warders were suspended as a result of the bullying allegations regarding the tower's first female beefeater, while a third male warden is still being investigated, The Times of London Online reported.
"As soon as these allegations were brought to our attention, we immediately instigated procedures under our harassment policy," Tower authorities said in a statement.
"An internal investigation is already under way to establish whether these allegations have any foundation and should conclude within two to three weeks."
The authorities said Yeoman Warder Moira Cameron's uniform was defaced along with her entry on the online encyclopedia, Wikipedia. Notes of an unpleasant nature were reportedly also left inside her tower locker.
The Times said Cameron, 44, became the first female beefeater in July 2007 and at the time admitted she faced some resistance from her colleagues.
"I've had some comments," she said. "I had one chap at the gate one day who said he was completely and utterly against me doing the job."

Beefeaters
JL: You must be really old. I haven't heard such nonsense for years. The idea of there being women's work and men's work is archaic. The idea that a woman would be happier at home playing super mommy is ludicrous. Obviously, you dislike women or you would not have used the phrase "little minds." Hard to believe there is a mind much smaller than yours.

Dear Older Person,
so glad you think bullying is acceptable. Time has moved on, women married or not do go out to work and manage to raise decent children. As a nurse I know my profession would sink operating by your rules. Bullying isn't acceptable in any form

Beefeaters
Why do women feel they have to run everything? No wonder the world is in a mess with all the wrangling about women wanting to take over men's jobs. I guess their little minds don't know the history of the Beefeaters and therefore feel it is their right to rewrite history to suit their gender. If they got a life such as bringing up their kids properly they may find some joy, pleasure and a job well done. However that seems to be beyond their comprehension. Don't get me wrong women in the work place is good, but if they have a family and until they are of age to look after themselves withour getting into too much trouble they should stay home and look after them. OR have the so called behavoural experts come to the conclusion, as an example all kids under 14 are capable of taking care of themselves and not getting into troublr. It used to be and probably is still, that at 14 or under you did not fully realize the consequences of your actions and therefore parental guidance is required. Just a thought from an older person.
