Witness: Young woman beaten before leap
A prosecutor in the Old Bailey also showed the jury a video clip of the attack two years ago on Rosimeiri "Rosie" Boxall, 19, The Sun reported. The attack was filmed by a boy who moved into the house in South London that day.
Oluwakemi Ajose, now 19, and another girl, now 15, are charged with manslaughter. The pair allegedly attacked Boxall because they objected to her talking to a boy at a party.
The Rev. Simon Boxall and his wife, Rachel, watched the clip of their adopted daughter's final minutes.
Raffaelina Asli, mother of the boy who filmed the assault, said she had seen the two attackers drinking vodka and found the bottle "nigh on empty." Asli said she heard yelling and crying and then sudden quiet. She found Boxall on the ground outside.
"She was gurgling; she was alive at that point," Asli said. "I knew she was going to die. I was sitting on the floor with Rosie. I was begging her not to die."
