Elton John cancels third concert

LONDON (UPI) -- British rock 'n' roll icon Elton John, who is suffering from the flu, has canceled a third U.K. show, promoters said.

The 62-year-old performer postponed his planned concert at Wembley Arena Tuesday, after scrapping dates in Sheffield Friday and Newcastle Saturday.

Promoters told the BBC it is "hoped he will make a speedy recovery."

John is scheduled to perform in Liverpool Wednesday.
