Teens may face prison in racist attacks
Nicholas Gardener and twins Justin and Luke Lovedale -- all 17 -- shouted racist abuse as they beat up shopkeepers in two stores within an hour in Bristol, England, Sky News reported.
They were refused vodka and cigarettes in the first shop, a liquor store, and attempted to steal wine from a second, a supermarket, the court heard. Footage from closed-circuit cameras at both stores was shown in court.
The three pleaded guilty to assault, but District Judge David Parsons found them guilty of the more serious charge of racially aggravated common assault. Judge Parsons then took the unusual step of lifting the normal ban on public reporting of names of defendants under 18, allowing the media to identify them.
"Race hatred should be dealt with seriously by the court, and your victims deserve the protection of the court," he said.
Because of the seriousness of the crime, the judge said he was weighing prison terms. Sentencing is set for Nov. 11

There should be absolutely no maybes about it as it warrants, without a shadow of a doubt,a prison sentence. My message to you, my lord,is to send out the clearest, firmest message possible by imposing a sentence to fit the crime and NO REMISSION!

Hooray. A Judge who isn't afraid to treat a vicious crime with just punishment. If only more Judges would follow his example. Violence has taken hold around the world in all age groups. It's time it was dealt with in a way that will deter people from vicious crimes like this, gang wars, rapes, and the like.

Thank goodness we have a Judge that is finally using his head. Yes these 3 louts deserve to go to prison for what they have done & I certainly hope that they do as a lesson to other racial abusers that we will not tolerate this.
