You are totally wrong. Forget the markings for the letters since my computer doesn't have them, but the newest National Park in Iceland is Vatnajokull it was established and opened on June 7, 2008. And at 12,000 sq. kilometers, comprising 12% of Iceland's land area is the largest national park in Europe. The park you mentioned was actually created in 1973, but now is a part of the Vatnajokull.
