The Burj Dubai tower - Dubai, United Arab Emirates

This tower is still under construction and currently stands at 2064ft high making it the tallest building in the world. When completed the estimated height (actual height is still a trade secret) is expected to be around 2684 ft. When finished it will be the tallest free standing structure on Earth.

The previous tallest building was the Taipei 101 tower at 1670.6 ft (including antennas).
