I believe it's part of the deliberate attempt to "dumb down" America. Several years ago, I saw a paper written by a college freshmen that was given an "A". When I started high school, that quality of work might have gotten a "C". I agree with Nylasor. It's as though nobody cares anymore. As further proof, the quality of the responses written here are almost too illegible to even comment.

I just started reading the emails from ArcaMax. My first thought was how poorly written they were. I used to be a professional proofreader. No wonder I can't find work as a proofreader these days. Nobody seems to care WHAT gets published!
