We’ve all heard of the ridiculous demands made by celebrity "divas" and musicians, but have you ever wondered what the most unusual requests ever made by guests in luxury hotels are?

Well, look no further! As part of their “91 days of summer promotion” which celebrates the length of the summer season, Great Hotels of the World has revealed some of the funniest guest requests ever made at their member hotels around the world. Some you can relate to, others are just plain ridiculous! Be prepared to laugh out loud...

Here’s a pick of the funniest ever guest requests...

1. An executive room please.. For the dog! These two guests booked two executive deluxe rooms at the Swiss Diamond Hotel Olivella. They arrived to check in with their dog. Whilst they were being escorted to their room, they were asked who would be staying in the second room, to which they replied "the second room is for our beautiful dog."

2. I’d like a bath... of milk! This guest requested that his bath be filled with milk, not from any bottles but from glass bottles in particular. After several hours of milk-buying, his request was finally fulfilled and he enjoyed a relaxing bath of...er.. milk.

3. Can I arrive at my wedding by parachute? This adrenaline-junkie groom wanted to make a big entrance to his wedding so he parascended into the ceremony. The wedding itself was held in the hotel's solarium within tropical gardens and views of the Atlantic Ocean.

4. The sea is too loud! This very demanding guest found the sound of the sea so irritating he actually asked hotel staff if they could stop it. We're still not sure exactly what he expected them to do.

5. Can I drink my bathwater? Fonteverde Natural Spa Resort features seven thermal pools fed by hot spring water at 38° C. Guests are informed of the therapeutic properties of the water which can be enjoyed by soaking in the pools or by drinking a glass of thermal water. However one confused guest asked if he could drink the water in which he had just had a bath...

6. I can't possible sleep on those! A well-known American singer requested that three holes were made in the bed sheets before she slept in them. What were they for?

7. I want to go shopping, never mind the time! It was the middle of the night and this guest came down to reception to make a very unusual request. He felt that the Hvar summer days were far too hot to go shopping, so he asked if it could be arranged that all the shops in Hvar town could re-open at 2am just for his conveneince. Needless to say, he had to wait until the morning.
