Godspeed Cannon
A cannon from the aboard the Godspeed (one of the three ships to land at Jamestown) replica is pictured here. A young John Smith was incarcerated on the trip over for attempted mutiny and was scheduled to be hung upon arrival to the New World. Orders from the Virginia Company however named Smith as a "counselor" and he was released.
