Satirical cartoonist Garry Trudeau has won many awards for his comic strip "Doonesbury", including the first Pulitzer Prize ever awarded to a comic strip artist. Besides having over 60 books in print including last year's "The Long Road Home: One Step at a Time," Trudeau has written television and stage versions of his popular comic. He has also worked with Robert Altman and others on various television shows commenting on the state of politics in America. Launched in 1970, "Doonesbury" is now syndicated in over 1,500 newspapers around the world.
