COL FB: Northwestern 33, Wisconsin 31

EVANSTON, Ill. (UPI) -- Stefan Demos kicked four field goals Saturday, leading Northwestern to a 33-31 Big Ten Conference upset of 14th-ranked Wisconsin.

His fourth field goal gave Northwestern an insurmountable 33-24 lead with 14:50 left in the fourth quarter.

Mike Kafka completed 26-of-40 passes for 326 yards with two touchdown passes to Andrew Brewer.

Sidney Stewart made four receptions for 94 yards with one touchdown and Brewer caught six passes for 102 yards for the Wildcats (8-4, 5-3), who won their final three regular-season contests and are bowl-eligible.

Wisconsin quarterback Scott Tolzien completed 19-of-30 passes for 235 yards with two touchdowns to Garrett Graham.

John Clay gained 100 yards on 23 carries, but lost a fumble in the fourth quarter.

David Gilreath scored on a 68-yard third-quarter punt return and Graham finished with six receptions for 98 yards for the Badgers (8-3, 5-3), who had won three in a row.
