NBA: Denver 130, Toronto 112

DENVER (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony had the hot hand with 32 points Tuesday in the Denver Nuggets' 130-112 win in a shootout with Toronto.

Anthony was 12-of-15 from the field and sank eight of his 10 free throws and the Nuggets shot a dazzling 61.5 percent from the field.

J.R. Smith added 29 for the Nuggets, including five 3-pointers, and Nene had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

DeMar DeRozan scored 17 for the Raptors, who lost their second game in a row. Jose Calderon and Marco Belinelli each 8 minutes to play in the third quarter on a free throw by Chris Bosh. Denver promptly took off on a 7-0 run that placed them solidly in the lead the rest of the way.

The Raptors started out well with an early 20-9 lead but Denver chopped it down to 29-28 at the end of one quarter and went into the locker-room at halftime tied 64-64.
