COL BKB: Clemson 79, Liberty 39

LYNCHBURG, Va. (UPI) -- David Potter capped an early run with two 3-point shots Tuesday, sending the No. 23 Clemson Tigers to a 79-39 rout of the Liberty Flames.

The game started at 10 a.m. as part of ESPN's 24-hour college basketball programming Tuesday.

The contest was never in doubt shortly after the opening tip-off. Clemson (2-0) scored the first six points and was up 17-1 after Potter hit back-to-back 3-pointers. Clemson led 42-19 at halftime and scored the first six points of the second half.

Potter ended with 17 points. Trevor Booker added 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers.

Liberty (1-2) was led by Tyler Baker and Johnny Stephene, who each had six points.
