Golfer denied temporary restraining order
Barron, who was recently given a one-year suspension for violating the tour's anti-doping policy, had sought a temporary restraining order that would have allowed him to play in the qualifier.
Magistrate Tu Pham denied Barron's request Monday, ESPN reported.
Tour officials said in a statement they were "pleased with the court's decision."
Barron was suspended for testing positive for a beta blocker and testosterone, court documents showed. The positive tests came during the St. Jude Classic on June 11, the documents revealed.
Barron is the first player suspended by the PGA Tour since testing began in July 2008.
The 40-year-old golfer had sought -- and was denied -- exemptions for the therapeutic use of propranolol, the beta blocker, and testosterone, the documents indicated.
Exemptions allow players to use certain banned substances for medical conditions.
