NBA: Atlanta 97, Portland 91

PORTLAND, Ore. (UPI) -- Jamal Crawford led all scorers with 27 points Tuesday and the Atlanta Hawks used the fast break and a dominant inside game to down Portland 97-91.

Atlanta had 18 fast-break points to Portland's four and outscored the Blazers in the paint 50-34 en route to their third win in their first four games.

Joe Johnson added 19 points and eight rebounds for the Hawks. Zaza Pachulia and Josh Smith had 12 points each.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and 14 rebounds and Brandon Roy and Travis Outlaw added 19 apiece for the Trail Blazers.

The Hawks took the lead for good midway through the fourth quarter on layups by Smith and Crawford that staked the visitors to an 86-80 lead. The Blazers got to within one point on Outlaw's jumper with 2:09 to play, but could get no closer.
