Rasheed Wallace sank 6-of-8 3-point tries and ended with 20 points for Boston, who are 5-0 to start the season for the second time in three years. They opened their 2007-08 NBA championship season at 8-0.
Eddie House scored 12 points, while Rajon Rondo and Shelden Williams each contributed 11 points apiece for the Celtics, who were a sizzling 14-of-20 from 3-point range.
The 76ers, 2-2, were led by Andre Iguodala, who scored a team-best 17 points. Thaddeus Young chipped in 11 points and Samuel Dalembert notched eight points to accompany his eight rebounds.
Boston was up 19-17 after the opening quarter but went on an 14-4 run to start the second, highlighted by Wallace and House hitting a pair of 3-pointers each. Those baskets gave the Celtics a 33-21 lead with a little over 7 minutes to play in the half and Boston never looked back.
