NFL: Tampa Bay 16, Houston 6

HOUSTON (UPI) -- Three field goals in the fourth period by Matt Bryant Thursday allowed Tampa Bay to pull away for a 16-6 victory over Houston.

The Buccaneers held only a one-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but they put together drives of 10, seven and seven plays that resulted in field goals of 49, 29 and 31 yards.

Dexter Jackson scored the game's only touchdown on an 83-yard punt return in the second quarter. Houston scored on two Kris Brown field goals.

Josh Johnson, who will probably not make the Tampa Bay roster, got the start at quarterback and completed eight of 13 passes for 85 yards.

Tampa Bay (3-1) is scheduled to open its season in New Orleans. Houston (2-2) will be in Pittsburgh to start the campaign.

It looks like the Bucs are ruling the state of Texas with Jeff Garcia @ the helm!
