MLS: Chivas USA 1, San Jose 0

CARSON, Calif. (UPI) -- Ante Razov scored on a free kick in the 88th minute Saturday night to lead Chivas USA past San Jose 1-0 in Major League Soccer action.

Chivas (6-6-1) won for just the second time in five games, but still climbed into a tie with the LA Galaxy for first place in the Western Conference.

The Earthquakes (3-9-3) have gone five straight without a win and are mired in last place, nine points behind the West leaders.
