LOS ANGELES -- Darren Collison had 31 points, but it wasn't enough to help the Los Angeles Clippers from dropping a 94-84 exhibition game to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night at Staples Center.
Blake Griffin, who missed the last two preseason games with a sore right ankle, wound up playing and had 18 points and six rebounds. Chris Paul was held to seven points on two-of-11 shooting and three assists in 29 minutes.
Damian Lillard led Portland with 16 points, while Will Barton had 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Blazers did not play starters LaMarcus Aldridge or Wes Matthews.
Clippers swingman Willie Green didn't play Friday night, but Coach Doc Rivers said he is expected to play Saturday night against the Denver Nuggets in Las Vegas.
Jamal Crawford started at shooting guard, scoring four points on two-of-seven shooting, but he's not expected to play Saturday night.
