SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Wide receiver Michael Crabtree says he'll be playing Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, even though a minor calf injury kept him out of the 49ers practice Wednesday.
"I'm excited, man," Crabtree said Thursday. "I'm going back from selling popcorn and hot dogs in the stands at Cowboys games and being able to play them, that's a big change.
"Anybody's got to be excited for that. I can't wait to go back home."
Crabtree, in a rare interview with the media, shared tales about how he started working at Cowboys games in Texas Stadium's concession stands at age 6, doing so with his pee-wee football team. By age 10 and 11, he was in the stands selling items while also sneaking peeks at the Cowboys on the field.
