Based on percentage totals of the Harris Interactive poll, USA Today Coaches' poll and computer rankings, the 11-0 Gators amassed a .9664 average following a 62-3 non-conference rout Saturday of Florida International.

River Cats owner Arthur Savage dies at 58

Savage, who owned the team with his wife, Susan, ran one of the most successful minor league franchises in the country, The Sacramento Bee reported Sunday. Savage suddenly became ill Saturday and collapsed at home, a team representative said.

COL BKB: Villanova 79, Ole Miss 67

Villanova led the contest in San Juan 27-23 and a seven-point outburst by Reynolds, including a 3-pointer, upped the lead to 43-36 with 14:22 left. It grew to 69-53 with 3:11 remaining and the Rebels were done.

NFL: Philadelphia 24, Chicago 20

McCoy, a rookie playing in place of the injured Brian Westbrook, finished with 99 yards rushing.

NBA: LA Lakers 101, Oklahoma City 85

Andrew Bynum had 25 points and nine rebounds and Pau Gasol had 15 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Lakers, who won their third straight game and extended their winning streak over the Thunder franchise to 11 games.

Real Salt Lake wins shootout, MLS title

RLS goalie Nick Rimando made two saves and league MVP Landon Donovan missed on a penalty kick for the Galaxy to give the 2009 league crown to RSL -- which came into the playoffs as the eighth seed.

McPherson was at 8-under 136, a shot ahead of Jiyai Shin and two in front of Lorena Ochoa, Heather Bowie Young and Anna Nordqvist.

Warner completed 15-of-19 passes for 203 yards and the first-half scoring passes to Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald helped Arizona rebound from an early 3-0 deficit to a 21-3 halftime lead.

Federer, Murray win in ATP World Finals

Federer, the French Open and Wimbledon champion, dropped the first set but battled back to defeat Spaniard Fernando Verdasco 4-6, 7-5, 6-1.

The Lions' quarterback connected with Brandon Pettigrew to tie the score on a 1-yard play as time expired, capping an 88-yard drive in the final 1:46. Jason Hanson followed with the game-winning conversion.

Hamlin wins race, Johnson wins title

Johnson had an advantage after winning the pole Friday and finished fifth. His boss, Rick Hendrick, the head of Hendrick Motorsports, missed the race due to an undisclosed family emergency.

The kick, Janikowski's second field goal in the contest, capped a four-play, 20-yard drive engineered by quarterback Bruce Gradkowski, who completed 17-of-34 passes for 183 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.

Boris Diaw posted 17 points, Derrick Brown scored 13 off the bench, Gerald Wallace had 11 points and Stephen Jackson and Flip Murray 10 each for Charlotte.
