Orioles-Yankees game postponed, no makeup date announced

BALTIMORE -- The Orioles have announced that their game Tuesday versus the New York Yankees at Camden Yards has been postponed due to rain.

Serious rain.

No makeup date has officially been announced by the Orioles, but some speculation is that it will likely be rescheduled as a doubleheader Sept. 12 at Camden Yards.

The Orioles hope for that scenario, but they also could make up the game on Thursday's scheduled day off. Both teams must agree on a makeup date.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter said the club will start either left-hander Wei-Yin Chen or right-hander Chris Tillman on Wednesday against the Yankees, but that could depend on whether the two teams play Thursday.
