DOVER, Del. -- Few drivers on any NASCAR level have ever dominated a track the way Joey Logano does Dover International Speedway in the Nationwide Series.
Logano has won four consecutive series races at the Monster Mile and goes for a fifth Saturday in the Buckle Up 200. Qualifying is at 10:40 a.m. Saturday for the 2:30 p.m. race.
If Logano does win, he'll tie a Nationwide Series record for consecutive victories at a track, joining Jack Ingram (South Boston), Dale Earnhardt (Daytona) and Kyle Busch (Texas).
"To be in that group that has won five races at a row at a race track, it would be an honor to be there," Logano said. "This is definitely my favorite track."
Logano has two other Nationwide starts this season, finishing fourth at Fontana and fifth at Darlington.
Regan Smith leads the points standings by 5 points over Elliott Sadler. Smith finished seventh last week at Charlotte and took over the lead from rookie and JR Motorsports teammate Chase Elliott, who struggled to finish 37th.
--Brad Keselowski won the pole for Sunday's FedEx 400 Sprint Cup race at Dover with a track-record average speed of 164.444 mph.
It is Keselowski's second pole of the season and the fifth of his career.
"It's been a good year for qualifying for us, and most years that's not been the case," said Keselowski, who ran two laps in NASCAR's new qualifying format.
Kyle Busch (163.785) starts alongside Keselowski. Joey Logano was third and Jimmie Johnson fourth. Rookie Kyle Larson will start fifth.
Keselowski was one of 11 drivers to break the old record of 161.849 mph set by Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 2013. Keselowski said much of the speed from No. 2 Ford and others can be attributed to increased downforce on the front of the cars.
–Denny Hamlin's No. 11 Toyota will feature a special Autism Speaks puzzle piece paint scheme Sunday.
