Eucharistic Congress draws 30,000 people

About 30,000 Roman Catholics attended the last day of the 13th Eucharistic Congress at a convention center in Georgia, participants said.

Catholics gathered Saturday at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park to conclude the second day of preaching, music, learning and worship, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

"We (Catholics) don't make a big noise, but we have big numbers," Decatur, Ga., resident John Mbuinga said.

The congress began in 1996 as a way of making sure Catholics maintained proper devotion to the Eucharist, or Holy Communion.

The congress, which was themed "I Am the Living Bread" this year, included programs in several languages to honor increasing diversity in the church, the Journal-Constitution said.

Dear Confused Catholic, don't worry about Shiloh's comments. She/He 'hates all Jews, Catholics, and everybody else that doesn't 'fit his/her tweeny, weeny mind-set'. 90-95% of Shiloh's 'post' are critical, negative, judgemental, red-neck, fundamentalism.
Kinda like mine!

every state should evangelize every now and then-have all catholic charismatic group evangelists pray, worship, preach and share the gospels teachings together, for FREE!Without cost you have received, without cost you are to give!(Matthew 9, 8)This includes healing services!
that is Jesus way! Amen.Of course, there is a fellowship for all!(Free food, drinks, etc..)That is a true eucharistic conress, feeding of the body and soul! Those Marthas will make food, the Mary's will do the spiritual work, Amen!
