Death sentence in Pakistani blasphemy case
Shafiq Latif was arrested in Sialkot in the Muslim country's Punjab province in March 2006 under the blasphemy act, Dawn, a Pakistani newspaper, reported. Police accused Latif of desecrating copies of the Muslim holy book.
The presiding judge in a district court in Sialkot said the verdict was based on Islamic law, the Dawn report said. Latif was sentenced to death and fined about $8,000
The report said banners and posters went up in the district welcoming the court decision.
The ruling can be appealed.

It may not even be true that the Koran was desecrated. We hear of muslim fanatics giving false witness to get Christians in trouble. The Christians in the Middle East really have to suffer for their belief. My heart goes out to them.

The muslims are crazy. Yes, they believe in killing people, St/Thm (where have YOU been?). The real radicals believe it is an honor to kill for their "allah". Read the Koran. It is filled with killing the infidel. And, Lyle G, your nuts--- by saying that Christian "reconstructionsist" want to kill people. That is ludicrous.. And, if it is true, then they are as sick as the muslims.
From what I have read and studied, Islam is not a religion of peace. It is a religion filled with hate and death.
After listening to the audio of the beheading of Nicolas Berg a few years ago at the start of the Iraq war, and hearing these murderers chant "allah akbar", or "god is great" as they sawed this poor young man's head from his neck (he was alive and screaming), I realized how much these sick people need Christ. They were blood sacrificing in the name of their "allah". Civilization does not need to have blood sacrifices anymore since Jesus was the ultimate blood sacrifice.
Read about the 12th Imam and what the Iranian president says how bringing about Armageddon to the world is the only way to bring forth their savior.
As far as I am concerned, Muslims are lead by Satan.
The Christians are awaiting the return of Jesus, the muslims are awaiting the 12th Imam, and the scientologists are awaiting the space aliens.
I think I chose Christ.

desecrating holy book, is condemned
Blasphemy means speaking irreverently of God, or reviling evil.Jesus was accused by his own, as He denounced the evildoers, and admitted to them, that he was the son of God.(this is true, that He is the Son of God, and that He was correcting them)
There is nothing wrong in having discussions about our faith. How many denounce the catholics, the protestants, the jews, the muslims? But our beliefs should not put us to death. The law does not have that right, much more, religious groups.Only God can demand our lives, and God is a forgiving God.Humans should be good stewards of one another-respect the gift of life, that comes from God alone! When man violates His laws, they are not condemned to die, or hung.Thank God we have a loving, and merciful God!How much more with man?Man should be forgiving of one another. It's in God's book.God does not demand death to anyone who desecrates His holy book.He forgives. It's the heart that God looks at!O ye of little faith!Love, mercy and compassion are God's traits, our own maker.Do we have that image? Or we have the evil image, full of hate, anger, vengeance!Good brightens up our spirits, and gives life.Evil creates death and division!Choose LIFE, choose GOOD!
