Police: Iraqi man drove Jeep into daughter
Police in the Phoenix suburb of Peoria said Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 48, was booked on two counts of aggravated assault Saturday.
Almaleki allegedly drove his Jeep into his 20-year-old daughter, Noor, and a friend in a Peoria parking lot Oct. 20. Police said at the time that Almaleki was angry at his daughter for her refusal to live up to the family's "traditional Iraqi values."
CNN said Almaleki allegedly fled to Mexico and then flew to Great Britain. British officials, however, refused to admit him and put him on a plane to Atlanta, where he was taken into custody and extradited to Arizona.
