Thanks to W. Lamphere for the clarification on the establishment of the United States.
Whatever argument people in Westernized countries may make doesn't change the facts. The white man came over, took over, screwed over, and expected everyone else to bend over (and not backwards).
It is charming to think that Christianity made our countries, but the ugly fact is that much damage has been done in the name of the Christian God.
Charlie is right about the fact that however I feel about what others do in this world, the only salvation I am responsible for is mine. When I face God in my due time, he won't be grilling me about what anyone else did, just what I did, do and will do til that day.

When all is said and done it is Christ who will have the final say. He came from heaven to give His life a ransom for us and He doesn't differenciate between people. Whoever believes on Him will recieve eternal life. Whether you believe that or not doesn't change the end result it only establishes your destiny.

None of us will live to see the day, when Christianity, will be the last religion standing. I do not have to meet anyone's moral code, but my own. The only responsibility that government has, is to make certain that people do not break the law. Conservatives want government out of their business, except when it comes to their definition of morality; and, that is exactly, where they do not belong.
It is most important for people to remember that YOUR RIGHTS END, WHEN ANOTHER'S BEGIN.

I support Kern!! I am not in OKLAHOMA.
CHARLIE - in today's society you are parroting the common humanistic, politically correct view when you state "Government does not belong in our bedrooms. People will choose their own partners, engage in whatever act pleases them, assuming that all are consenting adults." What happens when a police officer pulls you over and gives you a ticket for speeding, or defective turn signals, or some other violation of the law?? You have to accept the responsibility or you could end up in jail for awhile. God will judge on HIS morality, not yours, not mine, not the neighbors.... How do you measure up to HIS morality?? Don't know?? Read the Bible and turn to the 10 Commandments in the book of EXODUS. Read with the question in front of you, DO I MEET THIS MORAL CODE?

Christianity may not be the major religion in the world be I assure you it will be the last standing.

Religion, all religion, is a bane to mankinds existence! To be elected to represent a constituency it is expected that it be done without prejudice and bias. If you can't keep your religion out of it, then you are not fit to hold office.

Contrary, to what many of you believe, Christianity is not the major religion in the world and it never will be. Kern is desperately trying to connect with the religious 'right' and they can have her. You cannot force any particular type of religion down peoples throats. Our nation will jump back and forth between the Democrats and Republicans, into the foreseeable future, but generally speaking, extremism doesn't last very long or last very long.

Rep. Kern
Congress shall make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion. Rep. Kern freely exercised her right to religious freedom. Being a public servant does not mean one loses that right.

moral proclamation
I think that Ms. Kern was absolutely right. We have let our morals and ethics slide toward the gutter. Perversion will never be right and neither will abortion. We do let the immoral few set the rules too much of the time. If we become as Sodom and Gomarrah, then we will face the same fate.

Founding core
Contrary to Rep. Kern proclamation, the framers of the Constitution did not establish this country on Christianity, but rather, with precise decision, established it on the basis of SEPERATION of Church (Religion) and State. The founders were for the most part, Deists or Unitarians, Not Christians. The rights of all citizens was established to chose to believe whatever a person wished to believe without Governmental influence. Kern is violating the very Constitution she was elected to defend.

moral proclamation
I believe it's time that this country starts standing up for our moral values! Why can they teach the Koran in school and not the Bible? What was this country founded on? Christianity! The reason this country is in this mess is because we have gone away from our core beliefs. Let's keep accommodating the minorities, or they will scream discrimination! What about our rights? I think the Prime Minister of Australia has it right! " Feel free to leave!"
