Dessert -- Apple Crisp

One half cup sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
5 pounds cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Zest from one large lemon and one orange

Combine and toss to coat apples. Place in a lightly greased 4 quart baking dish.

Topping:

2 cups flour
Two thirds cup brown sugar
One third cup granulated white sugar
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup pecans, chopped

Combine flour, sugars, cinnamon and salt and mix well. Add butter and mix until mixture becomes clumpy, fold in pecans and sprinkle over apples. Bake at 375 for about one hour. Serve with ice cream.

The Skinny: Use your favorite sugar substitute and serve with frozen yogurt in place of the ice cream.
