Clinton set to return to Capitol Hill

WASHINGTON (UPI) -- Aides say U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., is ready to return to her Senate duties after licking her wounds from her failed Democratic presidential bid.

Clinton plans to return to Capitol Hill early in the coming week for votes on high-profile bills addressing a bailout of the housing crises, the president's surveillance powers and war funding, The Washington Post reported Saturday. Later in the week, she's set to make her first joint appearances with her former rival, presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.

"A week from today, you will have seen (Clinton) at the Capitol," Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines told the newspaper.

Meanwhile, the Post reported that new Clinton campaign figures show her presidential campaign finished $22.5 million in the red at the end of May, a $3 million increase from its April debt total. More than half of total, some $12.2 million, was owed to the candidate herself, the Post said.

I am not sure if she is licking her wounds or asking herself what the is wrong with these people? The party thru her under the bus for their own personal political purposes, people see that and are very mad about this

HILLARY CLINTON

She has done more for the American People than Obama can ever dream of doing even with his totally adversaril spouse. She's too rough to ever fit in when it comes to political decorum either here or abroad. And Obama is too much like Dopey with the big ears in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Yes, her own party partriarchal egotists did her in.

You certainly have the right to your own opinion, Crone. Our votes, however, should be more than our personal opinion, shouldn't they! If you were for Hillary, then I am certain that you have no love for "W", is that correct? It also follows that you want "W" out, and that would certainly mean that you want what is best for this country.

Where you are losing me is this: McCain is more of Bush and he has told us that in many ways.

Obama may be untested, but he is certainly well qualified and there is a tremendous difference. Does it follow that you would not have voted for any of the framers of our Constitution? Or for any of our first half dozen or so Presidents?

The main qualification is the ability to make good judgments and to own up to any mistakes and be willing to listen to the American people.

Please rethink your logic here as our country is on the brink of collapse.

We all know that the chauvinists in the male dominated news media gang banged Hillary. While zeroing in on an embellishment she made, they showeled tons of negative reports and facts about Obama under the rug. The Dems put Obama on the ticket, but he won't get my vote. I will go with McCain before I'd put that unqualified man into the White House. Already, he is waffling on some of his campaign promises.

"LICKING HER WOUNDS" I guess thats someones way of being sarcastic..."SHE GOT KNOCKED BY HER OWN PARTY" is what they should have said...
