Obama is simply putting his money where his mouth is. He has told us from the beginning that this is not your typical political election. He wants a referendum from ALL Americans and that is what he is doing - applying for the job with ALL Americans.

Undoubtly, this is a smart move on Sen. Obama's part in the long run as it get's closer to election day. As Sen. McCain has to spend valuable funds to combat in states that he shouldn't have to, he will feel the crunch of the numbers as the election moves on. This could hurt him when he will really need the money in such a close election.
