Chip Bok / Politics

Cartoonist Chip Bok has received his share of awards: four Ohio A.P. Awards, the H.L. Mencken Award for 1993, three honors from the National Cartoonists Society, and honors as a Pulitzer finalist in 1997. Readers may recognize his style from his work as illustrator for humor columnist Dave Barry, or from his animated editorial cartoons on various PBS stations around the United States.

Outside of syndication, Bok's cartoons have also appeared in Time, Newsweek, and many other publications. He is also the author of two books of political cartoons. Bok graduated from the University of Dayton, and works from the Akron Beacon Journal, where he began as an editorial cartoonist in 1987.
