PRATTVILLE, Ala. (UPI) -- A mixed-breed pit bull and huskie named Bo helped police in Alabama track down its owner, who was suspected of dealing methamphetamine.

Edward Henderson escaped out his back door when the Prattville, Ala., Drug Enforcement Unit arrived at his residence with a search warrant.

Henderson jumped into a ravine, which brought officers up short. Henderson's dog, Bo, ran right up to officers at the ravine.

Officers pointed at Henderson and yelled at the dog to "go get him," and the dog followed orders.

Law enforcement eventually found Henderson lying down in some tall grass with Bo, who was wagging his tail, tipping officers off to their location.

Henderson was charged with failure to obey police, two counts of unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful manufacture of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bo isn't the only pooch to help law enforcement solve crimes recently.

Earlier this week, a 2-year-old boxer named Brix in Atlanta came home chewing on a human bone. Police eventually discovered human remains lying between two boarded up buildings nearby.
