Hasan taken off ventilator
Hasan remains in intensive care at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Fort Hood spokesman Col. John Rossi told reporters Saturday.
Rossi said he does not know if Hasan can communicate.
Hasan, 39, was shot four times by two civilian officers after he allegedly opened fire with two handguns Thursday. A dozen people died soon after being shot, and one died later in a hospital, officials said, while 38 were wounded.
Rossi said 17 victims remain hospitalized.

He wants to suffer for his "cause"? Withhold all pain medication so he can appreciate what those that he shot down in cold blood felt. Keep him alive as the previous writer suggested and have him stand trial before a jury of HIS SELECTED PEERS that he had pay for his medical training... oh wait, he changed his mind? TOUGH! This is the real world, the real military where you get orders, NOT suggestions. And hopefully you'll stand trial in a military tribunal where traitors are treated as such.
