my wife called me extremely upset from the grocery store stating that she had a basket full of groceries and was unable to get her car door unlocked. confused, I asked her why the door wouldn't open. she stated that the battery in her remote lock control must be dead. I asked did you try the key. she immediately hung up. when she arrived home all she said was, don't say a word.

So what did that guy in Oakland do? Kill a cop that was in the backyard, put on HIS clothes, and then walk around the block and join the cops calling to the empty house???

That is WHY they're not funny any more. Because we have all heard them probably on the news.

AT&T

Could I take John Walter's place @ AT&T? I will not be bitter about a $26million dollar severance package!
Bobby is right, many of these are news items, not jokes, which I, also, have heard on the human interest section of the news.

Jokes and comments

No, the jokes aren't nessecarily funny, but the comments can definetly at least put a smile on your face. Perhaps this should be reversed. We should write the jokes and let ArcaMax comment!

Poor work ethic caused the fire. That's just the sort of thing that anyone installing a fire prevention alarm system should be absolutely certain doesn't happen. Who does it reflect on - the company, not the dummy who installed it unsafely.
The 9 year old suspended for 1 day does need to learn that what he did was fraud and exploitation of others, and that this is flat out wrong. If he isn't corrected, he's liable to go really bad when he reaches adulthood.
Illinois man was obviously trying to make it *look like* he'd been robbed so this isn't as stupid as it's being made out to be.
AT&T board paid John Walter $26M severance out of profits paid for by their customers. Maybe they are stupid but the customers can demonstrate their unhappiness at this by going elsewhere.
