Very similar to a less off color story. The teacher wanted the word ' officiate' used in a sentence. When it came to Johnny, he replied, "my sister got a bone in her throat from a fish she ate."
I didn't really get this. Yes, I got the pun at the end. But the teacher's reactions to the other children's answers didn't make sense. She was just repeating what the other kids said. So, why was that wrong? And why was it a set up for the punchline? It seems like there might have been something missing from the joke.
By the way, to the person who wrote about pearls being jewelry; pearl buttons are just buttons that look like pearls-they are not actually pearls.
