Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo (the Virgin) is the sixth sign of the Zodiac, associated with purity and service. People born under this sign tend to be orderly, diligent, analytical, and intellectual. However, they are also prone to be fussy, critical, cold, and perfectionist. Virgo is thought by some to be a "barren sign," or one whose attributes do not include fertility. Virgo is traditionally believed to be ruled by the planet Mercury, but is now considered to be ruled by Vulcan or the dwarf planets Sedna and Eris. Virgo is associated with the mythological character of Omphale from the myth of Heracles, as well as Hermes (Mercury), Athena (Minerva) and Hephaestus (Vulcan).
