N.J. firefighters rescue curious dog carried away by creek

PEMBERTON, N.J. (UPI) -- Firefighters in New Jersey rescued a dog that was pulled downstream by the tide in a creek and became tangled in some trees.
The Good Will Fire Company said the dog was walking with his owner about 10 a.m. Sunday on the Rail-Trail in Pemberton and he got loose from the woman and ran into the Rancocas Creek.
The dog, apparently fascinated with the foam at the foot of the creek, was dragged downstream by the tide until his leash became tangled in some trees.
Firefighters were able to pull him to safety in a rescue that was caught on camera.
The dog was taken to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, where he was expected to make a full recovery.
