WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in
cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary
recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using
recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.
Name of Product: Infant and Toddler Shortalls
Units: About 1,800
Manufacturer: Sara Lynn Togs, of Atlanta, Ga.
Hazard: The buttons on the shoulder straps can detach, posing a
choking hazard to young children.
Incidents/Injuries: None reported.
Description: This recall involves Infant and Toddler Gingham and
Flannel Shortalls, which are overalls with short pant legs. They have
a collegiate appliqué or embroidery on the front. Sizes included in
the recall are 6/9 month, 12 month, 18 month, 2T, 3T, & 4T.
Sold at: College bookstores, fan stores, children's boutiques, and
gift shops nationwide from March 2007 through February 2008. The
Gingham Shortall sold for about $35 and the Flannel Shortall sold for
about $24.
Manufactured in: Peru and China
Remedy: Consumers should immediately return the recalled shortalls to
Sara Lynn Togs for a full refund.
