RENFREW, Scotland (UPI) -- A baby born prematurely to a woman
critically ill with swine flu has shown no symptoms of the H1N1 virus,
doctors in Scotland said.
The baby was born three months early to a 38-year-old mother at Royal
Alexandra Hospital in Renfrewshire, The Times of London reported
Saturday.
The mother was one of several patients and two doctors being treated
at the hospital for swine flu.
The baby, born Monday, was in stable condition in intensive care,
doctors said.
Scotland's 141 cases of swine flu, as of Friday, accounted for a
quarter of all cases of the H1N1 virus in the United Kingdom, the
Times reported.
