Health expert: Fat children abused
Tam Fry acknowledged he likely will lose a Forum debate Tuesday on whether child obesity should be treated as a form of abuse, The Daily Telegraph reported in an exclusive Saturday.
Nonetheless, Fry said he plans to argue that obese children should be rescued just as malnourished children are rescued, the Telegraph reported.
As they age, fat children are more likely to suffer heart disease and diabetes, said Fry, noting that Britain's obesity epidemic poses such a risk to public health that drastic action, such as stomach-stapling surgery, must be considered.

Fat children are abused. A number would be abused in this way when having fat parents. It is like a cycle of abuse that happens in any other type of child abuse (like domestic violence).
I have also seen some fat children with slim parents and the reason is usually because they have lazy parents that don't cook and don't enforce healthy eating for thier children because it is too much effort.
They can't take care of thier children why have them.
Do these people love their children, I don't think so.
I am a parent with healthy slim children, why because I put the hard yards in. Nothing worth anything comes easy.

While I agree it is not a good thing for children to be fat, I think you are absolutely insane to suggest stomach stapling for children. Do you realize the complications and deaths connected with this,if children sneak food and overeat after the surgery.
I know many children who overeat without the knoweledge of their parents and to suggest you take a child from a parent for this reason is outrageous.In America we are free and such communistic ideas are unthinkable.
