Tip: Winter Weeding

National Gardening Association
In warm winter areas, keep weeding winter vegetables. Plants grow slower in winter, so weeds steal even more nutrients and water from vegetables than normal. Carefully pull weeds, trying not to disturb the root system of vegetables.

you forgot mulch!!!

In every case, you suggest mulch!! I have an abundance of dead leaves every year. Why not mulch them up with my lawnmower and use them instead of going to Home Depot and purchasing "mulch" witch is the same thing???
