Tip: Water Lawns

National Gardening Association
Lawns require an inch of water a week -- two inches during hot spells. For best coverage, water in the morning. The lawn will be dry by afternoon, which will discourage fungal diseases.

watering in the morning

My mother always told me the best time to cut the lawn and water your garden or bushes grass etc.
was in the evening, after the sun went down.
My mother was born in 1923, and she didn't have me till 1966, so needless to say, I trust my mom and her years of exsperiance over the years to be true. So far so good. Unfortunaly, she passed in Oct. 23, of 1993. She told me "Jackie, when you plant garlic, do it in the fall, and then forget about it for a year or two. Again, my mother was right on the money. One more little tid bit from my mom, always water your garden from the bottom of the plant, because when the leaves get wet they atract insects to the leaves, that we don't need.

Thanks Mom,
Maybe I can make a differance in somebody elses growing experiance.

Sincerly,
Jackie Clemett
