raising squirrels

my neighbor raised a baby squirrel once when its mother was killed-worked fine til he got old enough to jump from one place to another and began demolishing the house LOL they made him a little house outside and he stayed til he was old enough to breed then off he went-which is as it should be-I had a black walnut tree and he came to my yard one day to play in the tree-I shot a whole roll of pix of him -they were great-he would ride on my neighbor's shoulder so he came and got him and took him home-just like he'd had a play date LOL

rabies

any animal can carry rabies but they act sick and don't come and take food from you as a rule-still pays to be careful tho--I don't think I want to be bitten by squirrel teeth LOL

Rabies

I was bit by a baby squirrel when I was a little girl and I didn't get rabies. I'm saying your wrong, so please don't misunderstand me. Having said that, squirrels are not the only animal that carries rabies. So be careful around dogs and cats that you don't know.
