Remember our mantra: checks, captures, forced moves!

Solution:

Let’s hope you didn’t go astray with 1...Qxh4 2.Nxh4 Nxf2# As delightful as that is, White has a zwischenzug (in between move): 2.Qb8+ Rg8 3.Qxg8+ Kxg8 4.Nxh4 Nxf2+ 5.Kg1 Nxh3+ 6.Kf1 Be4 7.Rxe4 fxe4 8.Rxe4 and White’s winning. White does not take the rook right away in this line because 2.Qxg7+ Kxg7 3.Nxh4 Nxf2+ 4.Kg1 Nxh3+ 5.Kf1 Kf6 is much tougher since the king being up one more square is a nuance that allows Black to defend and a much harder game ensues. The right solution is 1...Nxf2+ 2.Rxf2 Qxe1+ 3.Rf1 Qxf1#
