Solution:
The old “break up the castled position” trick: 1.Nf6+ gxf6 [ If Black tries to jettison material to avoid the mate, that doesn’t work either: 1...Kh8 2.Bxh6 g6 (2...gxh6 3.Qxh6#) 3.Qh4 Bg4 4.Nxe8 Kg8 5.Qf6 Nxc4 6.Qg7#] 2.Qg6+ Kh8 3.Bxf6# The queen taking advantage of the bishop’s pin on the f-pawn is very useful to remember as it happens not infrequently.
