If you don't want to be bothered doing this for trick or treaters, at least do it for your own kids and/or grandkids!
That's a neat idea! Why not give it a try? Oranges would make lovely little baby 'pumpkins.' In fact, one could use markers to draw faces on oranges and hand them out for halloween treats. They could replace the old fashioned apples and would surely be healthier than junk candy! I think I have my halloween problems solved.
