MANHASSET, N.Y. (UPI) -- A New York state woman is going viral after sharing photos documenting her childhood love of a life-sized Michael Jordan cardboard cut-out.
Irene Liao posted a series of photos to Twitter showing her third-grade self visiting various locations with her most prized possession, a life-sized cardboard cut-out of basketball superstar Michael Jordan.
The photos show young Irene and her family taking the faux-MJ to a grocery store, a Starbucks and a shopping mall.
Follow-up tweets showed the cardboard Jordan watching over Irene as she receives a piano lesson from her grandfather and watches Jordan's film debut, Space Jam, at a friend's house.
"In the third grade i was obsessed with michael jordan so i carried a cardboard cutout of him around for a month," she tweeted.
Irene's tweets went viral with thousands of shares in less than 24 hours.
