Minnesota police warn of 'meandering' bear in Big Lake

BIG LAKE, Minn. (UPI) -- Authorities in a Minnesota city are warning residents to beware of a black bear "meandering in and out of yards" in the area.
The Big Lake Police Department said in a Facebook post that officers and Minnesota Department of Natural Resources personnel have received multiple reports of bear sightings in the Blacks Lake area during the past couple days.
The department said the bear was seen "meandering in and out of yards."
"The DNR is advising that yards in this area should remove bird and other wildlife feeders for the meantime. Also please keep your distance and notify Big Lake Police if you see [bears] in your area," the post said. The last couple times they have appeared we have been successful in nudging them out of the city. Thank you!
